Usernames or "penguin names" are names players can create for their penguin.
These can be anything you want as long as it does not have any
punctuation symbols or bad words in it. It is very important to have one
or else you cannot play. In that case, you must remember it.
Trivia:
Some penguins use their usernames as the passwords, but now if someone wants to change their password, it can't be your username.
Back in the beginning of Club Penguin, your name could be 2 letters or just numbers, like the beta testers PU and 0000.
Strange names have been fixed by Club Penguin
but some penguins still have these names. If you go to run on your
start menu then type in Character Map/Charmap, then you get a list of
strange characters. Before Club Penguin fixed this, you could log in using those characters. Example: Teesam = ţééşăṁ. Club Penguin has fixed this and it no longer works to create a penguin with these characters.
There is a glitch where must if you are in your igloo and you have the Box Dimension portal, you click the portal and then quickly press Edit Igloo, this means when you enter the Box Dimension,
you will have no name. This works in every room when done correctly,
your name will return after logging out and back in again, or clicking
edit on your igloo again.
If you email Club Penguin, they may allow you to change your username, but they won't allow you to change it twice.
There used to be a glitch where you could make a penguin have no name or have just numbers for their name. This has been fixed.
Clothes, or clothing, are optional items that penguins can wear. Most clothes can only be purchased by members. Clothes can be bought in the Gift Shop (Catalog name: Penguin Style), the Soccer Pitch (Catalog name: Snow and Sports), the Stage (Catalog name: The Costume Trunk), The Dock, The Cove the Ski Mountain and, when Rockhopper is docked on the island, in the Hold (Catalog name: Rockhopper's Rare Items). On special occasions, some clothing items can be collected for free in various areas. These are the items that non-members can receive. These are normally found in party rooms or on Free Item Stand. Both non-members and members can also receive items from the Treasure Book.
If you were to buy clothes and/or get them free, they could disappear
when you log off and get back on. To get your clothes back, just e-mail
Club Penguin and say what item you are missing, they will most likely go
into your account and put it back into your inventory.

Banning is the main punishment in Club Penguin for breaking the rules. When a penguin does a offensive crime, like hacking
or swearing, the banned ID appears at the user. The time of a ban
ranges from twenty-four hours to permanent.
When a player with an
inappropriate name is banned, they are given a new name consisting of
numbers of eight to nine digits, e.g., "P12345678". The number is based
on the ID of the player's penguin moderators can ban and un-ban
themselves so no one can hack and ban people for fun.
If players want to create a new penguin on the same email
address, and if you made a penguin that is banned on that same email
address, it will not let you create a new penguin
until the other penguin's ban is done (it is impossible if you are
banned forever).if you say code bad words like "ship" over and over
again you can get banned from that specific sever. (i have experienced
this)
Ban Times:
24 Hours: If players say inappropriate words.
48 Hours: If players say more than one inappropriate word.
72 Hours: If players are cheating or hacking.
Forever: For serious occasions, or if being banned more than three times previously.
Reporting:
Players can help in the banning of rule breakers by reporting them to the moderators, but if the player suspected has not broken the rules,
they will not be punished. If this was used on purpose, the player who
falsely reported someone can also be banned in very rare instances when a
moderator sees them report an innocent penguin for fun. If you accidentialy reported a penguin for the wrong reason, you can contact Club Penguin and not get banned.
To learn more about bans and reporting, see the Terms Of Use and The Club Penguin Rules.
The Ignore List is a list that can be accessed by clicking on the smiling face in the Toolbar, and then on the skull icon. To ignore a certain player, click on the skull icon on their player card.
Once a player is ignored, you cannot see any chat or Emotes
of the ignored player, and you can't send ignored people mail or buddy
requests until you remove them from your list. The ignore list can hold
up to 100 ignored players, just like the Buddy list.
It used to be that, when you report a player, the player your reported
will automatically be put on your ignore list.
Now you can just report
people and they don't have to go on your ignore list. You can delete
people from your ignore list by clicking on their Penguin Name in the
list. You are not able to see their player card by clicking on their name in the list.
If you decide to become a buddy with someone on your ignore list, then that penguin will no longer be on your ignore list.
Trivia:
There was once a skull emote which was the same as the Ignore icon, but it was removed by the Club Penguin Team because it frequently caused arguments.
Some penguins often add famous penguins and Beta Testers to their ignore list as proof they met them, because many famous penguin's buddy list is full.
It used to be if you reported a penguin that they would automatically be on your Ignore List.
When you click on a penguin on your Ignore List, it won't view their Player Card, it will just ask if you want to remove the player from the list.
You cannot add your Buddy to your ignore list.
There is no Ignore List on a mod because they use that to "Kick Player". This probably means they removed them from the server
In Club Penguin, you can throw snowballs.
These are usually used in Snowball Fights, or when a penguin is annoyed
or mad at someone. They are also used to "point" or show other penguins
where an object is, such as a pin.
If
you want to throw a snowball, click on the snowball button on the
toolbar to the right of the chat bar. Also you can press T on your
keyboard.
Sometimes in rooms during parties (or some stage plays),
snowballs have colors or replaced by other objects. Snowballs are also
used to power up machines, such as the Clock Tower, the Island Lifter 3000, the Snowball-Powered Electricity Generator, and the watering system at the Mine Shack.
Rooms:
If you throw a snowball in the Box Dimension it will bounce up and down in the air before it touches the ground.
The Underwater replaces the snowballs with bubbles.
The Recycling Plant replaces the snowballs with a variety of recyclable rubbish.
In the Water Dojo, snowballs turn into Water Balloons.
Parties:
During the Puffle Party 2009, the Puffle Party 2010, and the Puffle Party 2011, the snowballs were replaced by Puffle O's in the Puffle Feeding Area. Also, the snowballs were replaced by plastic balls in the Forest, except for the Puffle Party 2011.
During the 2008 April Fools Party, the snowballs in the Lighthouse and the Beacon were replaced by paintballs.
During April Fools Day 2009, paintballs returned again in the Dojo, Dojo Courtyard, Ninja Hideout and Box Store.
In both of the Water Parties (Water Party 2007 and 2008) the snowballs were replaced by water balloons.
All throughout the Adventure Party 2009, there was a Snowball Eating Plant which feasted upon frozen precipitation.
If you threw a snowball in the Forest during the Holiday Party 2009, it would become an ornament so you could "decorate" the tree.
During the April Fools Day 2010, snowballs changed into tomatoes, pizzas, and other snacks. At the Dock, it changed to paintballs.
At the Medieval Party 2010, in the first challenge of Ye Knight's Quest 2, when a snowball is thrown anywhere, it will melt to water.
During the Music Jam 2010, if you threw a snowball in the Casa Fiesta room, it will turn into confetti.
During the 5th Anniversary Party, if you threw a snow ball, it will turn into a red, green , yellow, purple or whatever color you were wearing.
During the Holiday Party 2010, if you threw a snowball in the Lighthouse or Beacon it would turn into a coin. If you threw a snowball in the ??? room it would turn into an ornament.
Trivia:
When Rockhopper throws a Snowball, Yarr pulls out a mini-telescope.
Bouncer, the Elite Puffle, is specially trained to throw snowballs.
snowballs commenly turn into food, bubbles, water balloons, paint balloons, misc. trash ,ornaments and can melt in some rooms
The Report a Player menu is a feature in Club Penguin that is used to report penguins that have broken the Club Penguin rules. The choices on the menu include bad language, being rude or mean, lying, or cheating, and a bad penguin name.
A penguin's player card (The red box outline indicates where the Report a Player button is).
Any penguin can report a player; but when the Moderators see it they may ban the reporter if they reported the other penguin just for fun, as moderators have a "ban player" feature instead of the "report player".
The inventory is a part of your player card that stores your pins, clothes, awards and colors. You can wear the item if you click on it. The items are sorted according to their item ID in each category. When Club Penguin had its update (Club Penguin Improvement Project), the inventory was put into 1 category instead of 2. Before, there were 2 categories. One stored clothes, one stored Pins and backgrounds. The update created a combined one with sub-categories. Those categories are:
Head
Face
Neck
Body
Hand
Feet
Colors
Others
Pins/Flags
Awards
Backgrounds
All items
Puffle Inventory:
A member penguin's Inventory compared to a puffle's Inventory.
The Puffle Inventory is very similar to the penguin version. It is used for puffles only. The only stored items in there are Puffle-O's, Puffle Bubble, a Cookie, a bathtub, and you can walk it.- This is going To change As they are re-designing The Puffle Cards and Putting more Food in there.
A Little Bit Of Information About Inventory's:
They Are Used For Your Pins, Flags (They Are Pins to,) And For Any Of Your Clothes.
Pins are popular, collectible items in Club Penguin. Every two weeks, a new pin is hidden somewhere on Club Penguin Island, and once gone, old pins will never return. A player
obtains a pin by walking towards it and clicking 'Yes' in the dialogue
box that pops up. Then, the player can select a pin from their inventory and it will appear on the top left hand corner of their player card. To find a pin, many penguins ask, "Where is the pin?" in-game or "Where did you find that pin?" if he/she is using Ultimate Safe Chat. Some pins are themed for an event that is coming up or going on. In the Yearbooks in the Book Room,
if you click in the right places, you will be able to view one pin that
was hidden for that certain month (except for the 2006-2007 Yearbook).
With the exception of the Disney Castle Pin, all pins are not unlockable.
Penguins can now see your pin collection in your Stamp Book.
Before the inventory change in CPIP, pins were not correctly ordered. From the puffle party 2011 to the end of march
There were two pins hidden around the island.

Viking Ship Pin

Flags:
Flags are very similar to pins in that they are displayed in the
upper left corner of a penguin's player card. However, these are bought
at the very end of every Penguin Style catalog for 20 coins each. Flags
are slightly larger than most pins.
Trivia:
The first pin that required you to click on something was the Cactus Pin,
which was released at the Coffee Shop during the Winter Fiesta 2007, in
which you had to move your cursor over the pinata there twice. After
the party ended, the pin was placed in the spot where it would have
landed during the party.
Currently, the only pins that will definitely never be gone are the Rockhopper's Key Pin and the Moss Key Pin.
There was an activity in the 101 Days of Fun that involved putting on an ice cream apron and leading penguins to a pin, the Ice Cream Sundae.
On 10 June 2009 in the What's New Blog, there was a vote on the next pin; the one chosen was a Beach Umbrella Pin.
The only times free collectible pins weren't free was during
Fall Fair 2007, in which the Circus Tent pin could be bought for 100
Fall Fair tickets, Fall Fair 2008, in which the Yellow Balloon pin could be bought for 100 Fall fair tickets, The Penguin Times issue during Christmas 2006, in which a Christmas Tree pin could be bought for 50 coins, at the Fall Fair 2009 in which the Cotton Candy Pin could been bought for 50 tickets and at the Fall Fair 2010 in which the Popcorn Pin could been bought for 50 tickets.
Backgrounds are special images designed to decorate one's player card. When placed on, they are located behind your penguin. They were first available on May 30, 2006. They are always available to all players if it is found in the Snow and Sports catalog or the Penguin Style catalog. Backgrounds can be bought in Penguin Style, Costume Trunk, Snow and Sports Catalogs and sometimes on Party Catalogs for 60 coins each.
In every new sport, costume and clothing catalog, Club Penguin either releases a new background or brings back an old one.
If you meet Rockhopper, the Penguin Band, Gary, Cadence, Aunt Arctic, or Sensei they will give you a signed background when you click on a special button on their player card.
Also, players can obtain backgrounds by completing Scavenger Hunts such as The Band's Instrument Hunt, Light Bulb Hunt, Easter Scavenger Hunts and Halloween Candy Hunts.
Backgrounds can be bought in the Costume Trunk at The Stage ever since the encore of the Space Adventure play.
When Rockhopper is at Disney World, a code is given and you can unlock the Exclusive Background online.
Trivia:
The rarest backgrounds are The Penguin Band's '06 Background (Probably the rarest, only obtained from finding all the bands instruments after they lost them during the first Wild West party), Rockhopper's, Gary's, The Penguin Band's Newer Background, Aunt Arctic's, Cadence's, Sensei's, and the Unlockable Exclusive Background.
The only secret backgrounds are the Noir Background and the Penguin Play Awards background in the Costume Trunk during the Ruby and the Ruby play, and the Penguin Play Awards 2009, respectively.
It has a pole with shapes, which is were the secret word is for PSA mission 2.
