Club Penguin Moderators

Moderators are the people who work for Club Penguin and help keep it safe by banning players who have broken the rules. It is still questioned as to exactly how many moderators there are. This is confirmed by the Club Penguin blog. Five of the most known moderators are Billybob, Rsnail, Happy77, Gizmo, and Screenhog. All Club Penguin moderators have a badge at in the upper-right corner of their player card. To become a Moderator, one must live near The New Horizon Interactive HQ in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada and be over 18 years of age. The badge is identical to the letter "M" at the upper-right corner of the screen. (This is no longer true as to keep their identity a secret -Zoo)

Known Moderators:

Real Club Penguin Moderators:

  •  Billybob:
  • Gizmo:
  • Screenhog:
  • Happy77:
  • Rsnail:

Trivia:

  1. Almost all moderators' names are unknown.
  2. Many have test accounts to avoid crowds.
  3. All Club Penguin moderators have a badge at in the upper-right corner of their player card, but they can remove it like a pin.
  4. To become a Moderator, one must live near The New Horizon Interactive HQ in Canada and be over 18 years of age.
  5. If you use the programs Penguin Earth] and BeAMod, then you can become a moderator but players are advised not to as they are cheating programs.
  6. There once was a secret Moderator Chat on http://www.icebox.clubpenguin.com/ where they planned upcoming events. However, the chat has been moved due to many hackers found it and got in. Now, it's found on http://www.team.clubpenguin.com/.
  7. Some penguins refer to Rsnail, Billybob, Screenhog, Gizmo and Happy77 as the Famous 5.
  8. Moderators answer help e-mails, although Support Staff also do this, and it is unknown if they too are moderators.
  9. They could not ban hackers due to penguins using Penguin Ice.
  10. Though they have to be on safe chat they can turn safe chat off and speak normal instead of in the message box.
  11. As revealed in an E-mail to Club Penguin almost all the staff have penguins. They use their penguins to get good ideas for new in-game content.
  12. They have to keep their identities a secret so they can make sure everyone is being safe and following the rules.
  13. Some People Believe That Trisha Was A Mod But It Is Not True.
  14. In posts on rsnails and Screenhogs twitter, it is confirmed that they have both quit. rsnail quit to spend more time with his family and work on new progects, like rocketsnail games. It is unknown why Screenhog quit but he quit about the same time as rsnail but still composes some music for club penguin.
  15. There are now only 3 of the origional staff (Billybob, Gizmo and Happy77)
  16. Screenhog has now joind rsnail as a member of Rocketsnail games as an animator.

About Club Penguin

Club Penguin is essentially a chatroom that takes place in a 78D world (from an isometric point of view) divided into several rooms. These rooms can be either outdoor or indoor rooms. Outdoor rooms usually are more popular because getting there is much more easier (you cgan be transported to an outdoor room instantaneously via the Map) and they offer gdhgj==== Penguin Avatars ==== jhfkAll penguins have the privilege to chat to one another, however filters have been introduced by New Horizon Interactive to prevent messages being sent that include certain blocked words. Messages appear in speech bubbles and a history of messages within a room lmao can be seen by clicking on a drop-down at the top of the screen. Whenever someone swears or uses a swearing acronym, the message does not show up (asterik or direct censoring is absent in Club Penguin, in order for it to not suggest spoken swear words within the game) and pop-up message indicates that you have been banned for a certain amount of this SUCKS!!!!! time. When registering an account, the player has to select their age, and if they have selected an age under 18, the player needs their parent/caregiver's permission in order to register. Furthermore, parents can choose whether their children communicate through Safe Chat or Normal Chat. Safe Chat uses a variety of preset messages so players can communicate safely. Safe Chat is also available for players with Normal Chat. Numbers do not show up when chatting. This move ensured that players could not reveal their age or phone number to other players. Also you cannot say the number like a word, e.g "I'm twelve" or "nine". its cool

Penguins:

On Club Penguin, there is a population of 12,000,000 accounts. 66% of these (being the majority) are members who pay for membership privileges (see below). On the site, many pretend to be "babies" and ask other people to "adopt" them in the pet shop. They are called MwaMwas , or sometimes reffered to as "Bay Bees". They are often said to be very annoying. They mark about 1% of the site's active population, being around 120,000 people. The other 32% are non-members, people who have basic privileges of the site.

Economy:

The Economy of Club Penguin revolves around mini games and the coin system. Money can be earned via playing mini-games, which can be both single-player, and multiplayer. Items such as: clothing, furniture or pets, can be bought to accommodate the lifestyle of a character in Club Penguin. But penguin can get coins without playing mini games by Cheating using money maker and CP Blizzard

Membership:

See main article: Membership
Members are players who pay for extra benefits in the world of Club Penguin. They count as about 2/3 of the active population. Members can use coins to buy clothing, furniture and puffles - domesticated animals, which are kept as pets. They also have the privileges for VIP rooms and are more recognized in Club Penguin. However, non-members can still acquire items, which are usually given out at "parties". Members also attend exclusive parties and events and get stamps that other's can't get. However Ali Khan has made a program to hack membership called CP Fun

Parties:

Parties are monthly events that are immensely popular in Club Penguin. The island is usually decorated to fit the theme, and as aforementioned, free items are given to non members. In some parties, members can gain VIP access to a special, exclusive room which is only available at the time of the party, and thereby called The Party. Parties usually last to around one week, but if it is of significance (e.g. Halloween, Christmas) the time is usually extended.

CPIP:

In Spring 2008, there was a project called CPIP when Club Penguin was upgraded to version 2. While the designers and programmers worked on the new features, penguins played the beta testing version of the new Club Penguin. The project was finished and closed on July 13, 2008.

Languages:

Club Penguin is currently available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. There is a rumor that Club Penguin will offer more languages in the future. A common bug in Club Penguin is where the game files from two different languages are swapped around causing confusion.

Headline text:

Club Penguin headline text is not avalible right now.

Technical:

Internally, Club Penguin is powered by 404 error servers for the websites. SmartFox servers are used in the game.
On the administrative side, Plesk, ClickZ, WinHTTrack, The Web Developer toolbar (for Firefox), and Firebug are used.

Merchandise:

Toys:

Club Penguin has sold many merchandise such as stuffed penguins and Card-Jitsu Cards; including Card-Jitsu Fire and Water cards.
Which can be bought at many stores worldwide!

Books:

Several books, such as "The Ultimate Official Club Penguin Guide Volume 1","The Official Stage Playbook","Secret Agent Handbook", "Stowaway! Adventures at Sea" and "Waddle Lot of Laughs" have been published by Club Penguin.

Games Edit Games section

Trivia:

  • Club Penguin's Business Number is 1-888-861-4111. Only call if you have any serious questions or if you want to unban your forever banned penguin (lots of users have successfully accomplished this before).
  • This Shot clearly shows a remark about 'iPhone Phase 1.a', and Underneath it says 'Mobile Sever'. This may mean that CP might be released for the iPhone.

Club Penguin Party Hat - Beta Party Hat

First is the Party Hat. This is commonly called the "Beta Hat". It was pink and yellow. This was given out on Club Penguin's first day, October 24, 2005. The Beta Hat is the rarest and most sought after items in Club Penguin. The Beta Hat is a collectible free item first available during Beta Testing at the Beta Test Party in October, 24 2005. It is the first party hat and the first free item released in Club Penguin, Here's A Image Of The Beta Hat:
and also the first clothing item that wouldn't be taken away after Beta Testing. It is the rarest and oldest item in Club Penguin. This item was the most hacked item on the CPIP servers. If you wear it when going to play Card-Jitsu Fire, Card-Jitsu Water, and Card-Jitsu the Sensei will comment about it.

Appearances:

  • The Beta Hat is mentioned in the real life book Stowaway! Adventures at Sea.
  • The Beta Hat appeared on the cover of the Yearbook 2008-2009.
  • The Beta Hat appeared once in an In Focus section in the Club Penguin Times.
  • The Beta Hat appeared in issue #256 and #175 of the Club Penguin Times.
  • The Beta Hat appeared at the 5th Anniversary Party, behind a glass cabinet.
  • The Beta Hat appeared on a Card-Jitsu card.
  • The Beta Hat appeared on the Beta Hat T-Shirt.
  • The Beta Grid Sweater uses the Beta Hat's colours.

Trivia:

  • Sensei revealed that he has one, but he rarely wears it.

The Beta Hat Isn't called The "First" Party hat Because Well. It's Just A Rare Hat That Is Super Rare... So It's Just A Party hat (Thanks ClubPenguin.Wikia For The Information)
